Just purchased this about a week ago- and so far- this is my favorite. It’s a bit watery – but goes on smooth and has a good consistency. Studio Fix Fluid Plus SPF 15– This foundation is…good.
Try it for yourself, but I had to use a ton of product for minimal coverage and the colors were all on the orange side. I took this product right back to the store. Mineralize Foundation/Loose – Honestly worthless. This product comes with a built in pump, which helps save product- its almost worth it to pay the extra few dollars over the StudioFix just for that feature. The consistency is slightly heavier and it has stronger color payoff, but is very similar to the Mac StudioFix.
Pro Longwear SPF 10– To me, this foundation is a smoother, longer wearing version of the Mac Studio Fix.
As far as department store foundation goes, Mac is the most wallet friendly – besides Clinique. I have plenty of drugstore makeup products, but foundation is not one of them – I think it’s worth it to spend a bit more (obviously this is debatable). First off – I know compared to drug store foundation – department store foundation seems expensive – but it is your face we are talking about. It annoys the heck out of my sister and best friend – just when I tell them what products are the “best,” I have a new product I like just as much the next time I see them.Īnyways, I figured I am now a Mac Foundation seasoned vet and can offer some insight on them. I get bored with make-up REAL easily and am constantly changing what products I use – with the exception of a few staples. So- as of this weekend, I have now bought and tried all of Mac Cosmetics’ available foundations (ah- except for Studio Sculpt).
